Anstey Hall was the setting for a burlesque extravaganza on 11 October, when the impossibly glamorous Neon Moon Club hosted Carousel, an evening of daring and decadent entertainment and dining.
Featuring fireworks, magicians, exotic artistes and some celebrity guests, it was held in aid of Mane Chance Sanctuary, where abandoned and abused horses are rehabilitated and nurtured back to health.
Then, unleash your wild, wicked side at the Neon Moon Halloween Ball, taking place at The Guildhall on 1 November, 8pm-2am.
Wonder at spectacular illusions and feats of dare-devilish trickery, glimpse glittering spectres on sweeping stone staircases and whirl across a spectacular Victorian dancefloor at the witching hour.
Performers will include emerald-haired dynamo Bruise Violet, illusionist Equador the Wizard, pin-up darling Tabitha Taboo and, back by popular demand, Khandie Khisses. As well as exotic performances, there’ll be a photo booth, vintage boutique selling gorgeous garments, treats and trinkets to adorn your outfit or take home, plus a ‘Steampunk Insectarium’, featuring creepy crawly critters.
The dress code, as ever, is as daring as you dare: let your imagination loose and be inspired by the past, by spooks and spirits or give life to your burlesque alter ego…
Tickets are £28 in advance, £35 on the door.
