Chill out to cool tunes in a top DJ set, while relaxing with a glass of what you fancy and pizza
Creating perfect parties and making sure you have a good time has been My Little Festival’s trademark for some time, and their latest offering is Party by the Pool, allowing you to enjoy a drop of the hard stuff, perfect pizza and top tunes all together alongside The Lido, the city’s historic open-air pool.
Party by the Pool, at the Jesus Green Lido, takes place on 29 July and features the succulent delights served up by street food vendor Fired Up Pizza. DJ Miss Chivers will play summer tunes to create an Ibizia vibe in the heart of Cambridge and guests will be able to swim at the Lido during the day, if they wish, then purchase a wristband to join the party on the right-hand side of the Lido, starting at 6pm, finishing at 10pm.
‘We’re always looking for different locations in which to pop up and bring our festival vibe,” said My Little Festival’s Alex Ruczaj. “So far this year we’ve hosted parties in a church, the Cambridge Union, and a car park! The Lido is a fantastic venue, and we were delighted when the managers and council, agreed to our idea for the event.
“Sitting by the pool with a drink or two is such a fantastic holiday feeling, and with some cool tunes and delicious pizza, we hope people will be able to completely relax – it’s the ultimate stay-cation event!”
“My Little Festival will help bring a new audience to the Lido,” said Daryl Emes, Partnership Manager for Better in Cambridge. “We love the idea of people enjoying the pool area not only as a leisure space, but as a unique social space too.”
To gain entry to the Party by the Pool area, guests need to buy a wristband for £6.50 (in advance, £7.50 on the door), once it’s on, guests can purchase drinks from the bar, which will serve a mix of wine, cold Prosseco on tap, craft beer, plus some refreshing, summery Pimms.
Usual entry fee to the pool to swim beforehand – if you wish to have a dip – applies.
