The stately home’s popular Winter Lights Festival sees nature and technology fuse together with spectacular results: see the enchanting silver birch grove floodlit against the inky November sky, drink in the reflections along the Riverside Walk, then watch a live shadow theatre show in the Paddocks.
There will be live music and glow performers, lit from head to toe and performing tricks and stunts by the house. Meanwhile the restaurant will be serving warming winter food and mulled wine. A barbecue, with vegetarian options, will also be in situ along the route.
Back for its third year, the Winter Lights Festival sold out in 2013: tickets for this year are £11.50 or £8 for children. Runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 28 November until 14 December, first entry 5.30pm, closes 8.30pm.
