Relax with a beer, fab street food and silver screen classics… have your cake and eat it!
Thirsty Riverside (possibly Cambridge’s coolest drinking and eating spot of the summer) has teamed up with Enchanted Cinema to host a four-day mini film festival, set to run 14 to 17 September.
Catch classics Pulp Fiction and Top Gun, plus Chef and La La Land, while you relax in deckchairs, have a few drinks from the bar and take full advantage of the vintage popcorn machine.
There will be street food from the likes of Provenance Kitchen, Steak & Honour and Churros Bar, plus coffees, cakes and more foodie treats for the four-day Biergarten Film Festival.
La La Land, the musical that won Oscars this year (just not quite Best Picture), gets things started on the 14th, before Tom Cruise’s 80s smash-hit Top Gun is the Friday-night flick. Feel-good foodie film Chef features on the 16th. It stars John Favreau (also the director) in a heart-warming tale of travelling, food and building up a business based on passion. Pulp Fiction rounds of the festival on the 17th.
Thirsty’s Riverside offering only started in early summer but has quickly become a favourite craft beer and foodie hot spot at the Museum of Technology.
Doors open at 7.30pm, except on the last night at 7.15pm. Tickets are £15.
